EPIC Summer School attendees get kit to learn about collaborative robotics
SZTAKI and the Fraunhofer Society organize a summer school program together under the umbrella of the EPIC project, between June 28 and August 5, to focus on human-robot collaboration. The participating teams formed by students from Hungary and abroad as well got such a part kit which may demonstrate local assembly.
The summer school is held via online due to the pandemic. Six students take part of the programme which aims to demonstrate the pros and cons of robotic assembly while also comparing it to human workforce.
“We had to skip last year with summer school because of the coronavirus pandemic yet this summer we were able to organize it by online methods. But because we wish to provide a direct experience, we shipped a kit of unique parts to our students, including workpieces and a symbolic grabber. Thus the students may try what they see on screen at home” – said Richárd Beregi, researcher of SZTAKI.
