Contest for the Hungarian Factory of the Year 2017 Prize

The aim of the competition is to find the Hungarian production company of the year, applying a multi-criteria evaluation system. Additionally, winners in different categories will also be selected. The main, Factory of the Year prize is given in three categories, according to companies’ size on the base of their income.

In this year, applications can be submitted in nine different categories by industrial firms, having at least one real production site located in Hungary. The novelty of this year call is the Industry 4.0 category, elaborated and supervised by MTA SZTAKI and supported by EPIC CoE colleagues.

The competition has two main rounds, in the first one, the applicants shall register at and submit their application forms in the selected categories. Applications can be submitted to the different categories independently.

In the second round —following the evaluation of the application forms—experts of the Process Solutions Group perform an on-site validation at the shortlisted applicants. The results are then presented to an independent jury, whose members are reputed industrial experts finally deciding about the prizes. MTA SZTAKI and our Centre of Excellence is represented in the jury by András Pfeiffer, the deputy director of the institute.
